Best Western Hotel Fontaine Argent

Spacious underground garage (no tight corners or pillars). The room was large, bright, and very clean, with a nice balcony overlooking a well-maintained courtyard. Everything felt new and fresh. Bottled water and an espresso machine were provided, along with plenty of towels. No unnecessary bedspreads or throw pillows – which I really appreciated! Super comfortable beds and efficient AC. The bathroom was also spotless and stylish. Location is great – just a 10-minute walk to the city center with lots of restaurants and bars. Charming town and very friendly, English-speaking staff. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t say anything about that. Highly recommend!

Only about ten minutes walk to be right in the centre. There’s a tram stop right outside the door, easy to buy tickets from the machine at the stop. 1.40 euros a ticket but cheaper if you buy three or more. Room was comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, all good quality. Under ground parking 10 euros a day useful. Because of the trams some roads are one way, we had to drive past the turning and make several turns to get to it. No bar but there is one a few minutes walk away.

We made a very late decision to visit Besancon and I didn't have much time to research properties. But the hotel was absolutely fine and comfortable. We only stayed for one night, so only got a fleeting impression of both the hotel and the city. But it is a place I would visit again.

Staff were very friendly. Nice hotel w good parking, tram stops are pretty much in front of the hotel... So, it's easy to go around

A nice hotel to stay for a night on the the way to and back from the south. The room was quite spacious, the bathroom is great with the huge shower cabin and the balcony is a nice added plus. The neighbourhood is quiet, but in 5-10 minutes you are in the inner city to have dinner and walk around.
